Transfer-Direct.com Wages Battle.

Joining with thousands of others,Transfer-Direct.com demonstrated its support for "Walk for the Cure" by printing and contributing specially printed t-shirts for members of Team Michael who participated in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's annual fundraiser. Held on March 20, 2010, in Sarasota, Florida, all members, including Transfer-Direct.com owners and employees wore shirts adorned with the JDRF logo and a vibrant, captivating photo of Michael with print that read Walking for Michael. Because of his focus on living the most healthy and positive life as possible while waiting for a cure, Michael was one of hundreds of children and young adults being honored during the walk.

Thousands of beach walkers (a few from Team Michael are pictured) will gather on Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida, on March 20 to demonstrate their solidarity in the on-going search for a cure for Type 1, insulin dependent diabetes (juvenile diabetes). Their united affront to this sinister disease that affects children and young adults brings awareness to the forefront that it can attack at any time in a young persons life. Unlike Type 2, adult-onset diabetes, it is not brought on by eating/excercise habits.

Proceeds from this annual fundraising effort will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) that remains a leader in supporting researchers on a world-wide basis in their search for a cure. In a departure from "business as usual" this group of doctors will answer an email or phone call almost immediately. Their zeal to offer compassionate information and advice is only unsurpassed by their desire to find a cure.

Transfer-Direct will be a proud supporter of the Walk for the Cure and invites you to participate with this parent-run organization; to find a location near you and contribute (in these difficult economic times)to help end the march of Type 1 diabetes.
